          ★ In 1992, Shengxing co-compiled the first standard teaching materials for the Chinese building curtain wall industry Application Manual of Technical Specifications for Glazed Curtain Wall Works in conjunction with the Ministry of Construction and China Institute of Building Sciences; this manual was published openly by the China Building Industry Press, whose number of words is beyond 1.76 million and circulation above 50,000 volumes. This manual introduces and describes the material selection, design principle, calculation for structural design, assembly, installation and acceptance of glazed curtain walls. This manual is highly operable and has become a requisite reference book for design and scientific research institutes, manufacturers, construction supervisors, quality inspection authorities and proprietors. 


          Corroborating project of Application Manual of Technical Code for Glass Curtain Wall Engineering--Zhongshan communications commercial building

          The curtain wall project for the Communications Commercial Building in Zhongshan designed and constructed by Shengxing in 1992 has used inward/outward turning angles in a variety of dimensions based on the original structural form, further introduced the perfect form of smooth curve into the curtain wall design, so that the curtain wall appearance avoided any sudden change in facades for the first time, while giving full play to the sound insulation, energy saving effects of the curtain wall glass. In construction, a construction team was selected elaborately, with quality and safety ensured in the processing, fabrication, installation of the whole curtain wall. Thanks to the originality and preciseness exhibited in the design and construction, this project was listed honorably as the sole project verified under the T echnical Specifications for Glazed Curtain Wall Works by the State Ministry of Construction.

          ★In 1996, Shengxing was entrusted by developments department compiled Application Manual of Technical Specifications for Metal and Stony Curtain Wall Works, which was the second standard teaching material for the Chinese building curtain wall industry; this manual was published openly by the China Building Industry Press, whose number of words is beyond 2.3 million and circulation above 80,000 volumes. This manual describes in detail the calculation method of steel structure, technical indicators, processing method and equipment for metals and stones. Such building supporting works as energy saving door/window, energy saving glazed curtain wall, point supported glazed curtain wall, lighting louver and other globally advanced things are listed in this manual to promote the standardization of project management in the building curtain wall industry. The manual also lays stress on the points to be noted in project bidding with examples. This manual is highly operable and has become a requisite reference book for design/scientific research institutes, manufacturers, construction supervisors, quality inspection authorities and proprietors, and is renowned as the encyclopedia of the industry.


          Confirmation project of Technical Code for Metal and Stone Curtain Wall Engineering--Chongqing National square

          The curtain wall project for the National Square in Chongqing designed and constructed by Shengxing in 2000 used silver gray film coated hollow glass and pink stony imitated composite aluminum plate curtain wall. A small unit structure was proposed for the hung pink stony material for the annex for easy installation and removal, which was original in China. Since this curtain wall features novel design, reasonable structure, high safety, superior performance, rapid construction and low cost, this project was listed honorably as the sole project verified under the T echnical Specifications for Metal and Stony Curtain Wall Works by the State Ministry of Construction.
